World Bank Institute

The World Bank Institute creates learning opportunities for countries and people committed to poverty reduction and sustainable development. WBI's work program includes training, policy consultations, and the creation and support of knowledge networks related to international economic and social development.

The Urban and City Management Program of WBI provides city officials with a platform to learn and exploring in great detail, the key aspects of urban management. The program consists of core courses targeting city managers, local level policymakers, urban planners and directors of training institutes. The objectives are to advance their knowledge and understanding of the extensive range of urban issues and to arm them with the required tools to plan, manage and govern their cities efficiently.
