Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) in partnership with World Bank Institute (WBI) launched "Certification Programme in Urban Management India: 2004" on July 2004 at Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad.

The programme offered four complementary modules in two phases. The phase I of the programme was scheduled on 19 - 30 July 2004 and the Phase II was scheduled on August 30 - September 3, 2004.

Around 16 senior administrative representatives including municipal commissioners, senior municipal engineers, municipal health officers, town planners and senior staff members attended the programme.

The participants, under the guidance and support of Advisory group had prepared institutional development reports (IDRs) and presented it to the panel of experts.
