Module on Urban Governance (for Senior IAS Officers)           The Module on Urban Governance as a part of the two week annual training programme for Senior IAS Officers was organized during March 2005 and September 2005, to provide an overview of the urban sector focusing on key sectoral challenges, policy frameworks and approaches and national and international best practices. The module was organised by ASCI in partnership with WBI and with the support of Department of Personnel Training (DoPT), GoI.       The specific objectives of the module were:     To provide an overview of urban governance including principles and approaches To strengthen the policy orientation and vision for improved decision making through exchange of ideas and experiences To provide exposure to best practices           The module was structured in four learning sub-modules, viz., Urban Governance, Achieving Service delivery outcomes, Innovative financing and Human Capital.
