URBAN GOVERNANCE IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM (FOR SENIOR IAS OFFICERS)  
     
  ASCI with the support of Department of Personnel and training (DoPT), Government of India (GoI), has been organizing an Urban Governance Programs for Senior I A S Officers. The Programme provides a platform to the participants to learn and explore in intensive detail the key aspects of urban governance. It advances the participants knowledge of wide range of urban governance issues and arms them with tools to effectively plan, manage and govern their cities.  
     
  The Urban Governance Programme for Senior I A S Officers has been organized in December 2004, and December 2005.

  ASCI has also introduced a two-week module in its annual training event for senior IAS officers, supported by the DoPT, GoI.

  Methodology  
     
  The programme adopts an interactive approach, with a blend of lectures, case studies, video films, simulation exercises, exchange of experiences, and field visits. In addition, panel discussions involving leading experts and practitioners are organized to promote candid dialogue on contemporary issues of specific relevance to programme participants. Eminent international and national experts would be invited to deliver talks and share their experiences on relevant topics, during the programme
